Oceanside, CA, January 28, 2023, – Mike Cobas, President of Oceanside Yacht Club Youth Foundation (OYCYF) announced that the OYC Junior Sailing Program took delivery of a new trailer that was funded by the OYCYF. The new trailer was custom designed by FE Trailers, Lakeside, CA and will be adapted for bunks that hold up to six Lasers, six Teras, three FJs or a combination thereof.
Tim Zimmerman, Sailing Program Director of OYC said, “All of the Junior Learn To Sail classes currently active in our program will be able to travel to regattas using the new trailer.” He added, “The galvanized construction and sturdy frame make this trailer one that will be in the service of the OYC’s sailing program from decades to come.”
Mike Cobas said, “We are so appreciative of the OYC members for helping fund this new acquisition, along with their other donations for our maritime programs. The Juniors are on their way to winning many regattas ”
The OYCYF, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, seeks to financially support youth maritime activities which promote personal leadership, seamanship and development of the Corinthian spirit.
