Who We Are?

The OYCYF was founded in 2017 by a group of local dedicated mariners, yacht club members and parents who wanted to financially support youth sailing and maritime activities that promote leadership, seamanship and a culture that empowers youth to develop skills that last a lifetime.

We believe the benefits of sailing and maritime education are many, including; confidence building, instilling respect for safety and responsibility, developing self reliance, and encouraging teamwork and sportsmanship.

What We Do?

We support groups that expose, teach, and empower kids in maritime education and activities. It may be replacing boats, providing classroom necessities, scholarships or for older kids, real life sailing adventures. Kayaking and paddle boarding locally are all a part of the picture. Our funds are directed to specific programs that promote these endeavors.
